The show hoped to tape hackers admitting to illegal activities, but DefCon got wind of the plot and displayed the would-be-mole's photo before every presentation. Dateline refused to deny the planned infiltration.

Going Back to University to Finish Your Degree

This September I will be entering the final year following my *triumphant* return to University to finish my Undergraduate degree. My Baccalaureate education has been an interesting yet protracted journey that began as far back as the mid 90's, having attending 2 other Universities before I joined UBC. When I originally left University to enter the IT workforce at the height of demand during the Dot Com boom and Y2K, it turned out to be a highly lucrative move.

JavaLobby posting comment on IBM Project Zero License

So IBM came out with a new Project...... Project zero!!!
After reading the posting on JavaLobby and some of the comments, there seems to be some angst toward the licensing terms.... here's my thoughts:

Can I be so bold as to Hypothesize an alternative explanation to IBM's license choice.

Given the project is probably at the bleeding edge pre-Alpha stage, perhaps they are 'soft' launching and providing their code to gauge interest in both the code, the project and the overall ideas it centers around.

Microsoft is coming to the Vanc....

So I jump in my car this morning, pull out of the garage, turn on the radio and what is the first thing I hear....
Microsoft is opening up shop in Vancouver.

From the CBC news article, it will be a Development shop that will start out with a couple hundred staff. The interesting things is that Sharif Khan, vice president of human resources of Microsoft Canada said,
